Care basics
The rusty cichlid has a rust brown to orange body with a purple sheen. It is a good choice for keepers who want an mbuna tank with less fighting.
Choose quieter tank mates, such as yellow labs, acei or peaceful peacocks, and feed a vegetable based diet. Plenty of rock caves help it settle.
