Care basics
Cynotilapia afra comes in many regional color forms, most with blue and black bars and some with yellow or orange dorsal fins. It is often sold by the name of its collection site.
Overstock the tank slightly with other mbuna to spread aggression, keep several females per male, and give a diet based on vegetable matter.
